How Does Therapy Work?
I provide virtual mental health counseling services to adults with anxiety, depression, and/or attachment trauma.
Therapy works by forming a trusting relationship between the client and therapist. If you do not feel comfortable with your therapist, you will not be open about more difficult emotions.
You will work together to identify your goals for therapy.
You will processes your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in sessions.
You will gain insight into cycles that lead to distress.
You will learn new, healthy coping skills to manage your emotions.
Clients must be physically located in Maryland, Virginia, Florida, or South Carolina during telehealth sessions.
