If you experience the following symptoms, therapy can help:
Difficulty saying “no” to people
Thinking about something you said over and over again
Constantly critiquing yourself
Irritability
Always assuming the worst-case scenario will happen
Difficulty being yourself around friends, family, or acquaintances
Difficulty with falling asleep or staying asleep
Feeling like nothing you do is ever “good enough”
How Does Therapy Work?
I provide virtual mental health counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety, depression, and/or trauma.
Therapy works by forming a trusting relationship between client and therapist. If you do not feel comfortable with your therapist, you will not be open about more difficult emotions.
Client and therapist work together to identify their goals for therapy.
Client processes their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in sessions.
Client gains insight into cycles that lead to distress.
Client learns new, healthy coping skills to manage their emotions.
Clients must be physically located in Maryland, Virginia, Florida, or South Carolina during telehealth sessions.
