Trauma
Trauma symptoms can sometimes look like isolation, avoidance, feeling detached from your self or your environment, irritability, or having nightmares. Other times, trauma can look like:
Flashbacks
Intrusive memories
Pounding heart
Avoiding people/places/things that remind you of the traumatic event(s)
Sometimes trauma can be a one-time event that caused intense fear, and other times it can be many events over time that has caused someone to feel unsafe, uncared for, or unloved.
